Gunhole Drilling
"Gunhole-Drilling" is a method where special bores drill small boreholes of 3 mm (0.1 inches) to 20 mm (0.8 inches) up to a distance of 3000 mm (120 inches) while maintaining minimum deviations. The gunhole drilling technology is used mainly for MWD/LWD components. The method has been developed in cooperation with Vienna Technical University and has been used by SBO on an industrial scale since 2002.
